Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan analitis mahasiswa calon guru IPA, khususnya pada materi fluida, menjadi tantangan signifikan dalam pendidikan sains. Penelitian ini secara spesifik mengatasi kesenjangan dalam literatur, yang menunjukkan minimnya media pembelajaran berbasis analisis yang tervalidasi secara terpadu antara aspek substansi dan media. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengembangkan dan menguji validitas suplemen bahan ajar materi Prinsip Archimedes sebagai alat efektif untuk melatih keterampilan analitis, logis, dan berpikir kritis calon guru IPA. Menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan adaptasi model Rowntree, validasi produk dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan media menggunakan instrumen skala Likert dan Guttman. Lingkup aplikasi produk ini sebagai suplemen mendukung pembelajaran mandiri, memungkinkan mahasiswa belajar kapan saja dan di mana saja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplemen ini memiliki validitas sangat tinggi pada aspek materi, konstruksi visual, tipografi, ilustrasi, dan bahasa, sehingga memenuhi kriteria kelayakan sebagai sumber belajar mandiri. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa suplemen tersebut efektif dalam melatihkan keterampilan analitis dan keterlibatan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi langsung pada praktik pendidikan dengan menyediakan alternatif media pembelajaran inovatif yang tervalidasi, yang dapat secara langsung diterapkan untuk membina kompetensi analitis calon guru IPA
