Ketrampilan Braille untuk Mendukung Pembelajaran Peserta Didik Tunanetra di Jawa Tengah

Peserta didik Tunanetra dalam mendukung pembelajarannya membutuhkan alat bantu, salah satu alat bantu peserta didik tunanetra dalam mendukung pembelajaran adalah system Braille atau huruf Braille. Huruf Braille merupakan huruf khusus yang didesain untuk tunanetra guna membantu dalam proses pembelajaran atau kehidupan kesehariannya. Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana ketrampilan Braille dalam mendukung pembelajaran peserta didik tunanetra di sekolah luar biasa. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik tunanetra berjumlah 63 peserta didik yang berasal dari 6 sekolah luar biasa di Jawa Tengah. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket atau kuesioner dengan skala likert 4 poin. Teknil sampling yang digunakan menggunakan purposive sampling, semua subjek menjadi sampling dalam penelitian ini. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan analisis descriptive kuantitatif dan dengan di kategorisasi kedalam kategori sangat tinggi, tinggi, sedang, rendah serta sangat rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketrampilan penggunaan huruf Braille dalam mendukung pembelajaran peserta didik tunanetra dengan prosentase terbesar yaitu 33% pada kategori tinggi, yang berarti ketrampilan Braille dapat mendukung pembelajaran peserta didik tunanetra di sekolah luar biasa.
