Pengaruh Lokasi Sekolah dan Jenis Kelamin terhadap Kemampuan Fisik

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dasar masih rendahnya kemampua fisik yang dimiliki oleh siswa SDN 107 dan 144. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi fisik yang dimiliki oleh siswa SDN 107 dan SDN 144. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 172 orang yang didasarkan pada pertimbangan tertentu. Kemampuan fisik didapatkan dengan menggunakan sub-instrument TID, yaitu: standing broad jump, curl-ups, knee push-ups, endurance shuttle run, shuttle run, sit and reach dan shoulder flexibility. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis varian (ANAVA) dua jalur dengan rancangan faktorial 2x2. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan fisik antara siswa yang lokasi sekolahnya di kota dan siswa yang lokasi sekolahnya di pinggir kota dengan nilai Sig. 0.028 < 0,05. 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan fisik antara siswa jenis kelamin laki-laki di kota dengan siswa laki-laki pinggiran kota dengan nilai Sig 0.048 < 0.05. 3) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan fisik antara siswa jenis kelamin perempuan di kota dengan siswa perempuan pinggiran kota dengan nilai Sig 0.000 < 0.05. 4) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi jenis kelamin dan lokasi sekolah terhadap kemampuan fisik siswa dengan nilai sebesar 0.002 < 0.05. Besar harapan peneliti jika pada akhirnya pihak sekolah dapat turut serta merancang program yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kondisi fisik siswa.
