Kebutuhan Komunikasi Augmentatif Alternatif untuk Membantu Komunikasi Peserta Didik Autis di Sekolah Inklusi Kota Surakarta

Keterbasan dalam berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi sosial merupakan salah satu kriteria untuk menegakkan diagnosis spektrum autis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan komunikasi augmentatif alternatif (KAA) untuk anak autis di Sekolah Inklusi. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang akan meneliti, menguraikan, dan mencari solusi mengenai kebutuhan komunikasi augmentatif alternatif pada anak spektrum autisme. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru yang menangani anak dengan spektrum autisme. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori induksi dan reduksi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan keterampilan masuk dalam kategori kurang karena 52 % guru untuk menggunakan jenis komunikasi augmentatif alternatif bagi peserta didik autis masih sangat kesulitan. Kesulitan guru dalam menerapkan metode komunikasi saat pembelajaran dengan peserta didik autis di kelas inklusi dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 84 % guru mengalamai kesulitan dalam berkomunikasi dengan peserta didik autis di kelas. Hal ini dimungkinkan dengan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memahami penggunaan KAA dalam pembelajaran di kelas inklusi dengan melibatkan guru di pelatihan dan seminar untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang media yang dapat digunakan guru untuk berkomunikasi dengan peserta didik autis di kelas inklusi.
