Model Discovery Learning dengan Menggunakan Media Konkret dalam Meningkatkan Numerasi Siswa pada Pembelajaran Matematika di Sekolah Dasar

Masalah utama yang diangkat adalah hasil belajar matematika siswa SDN Malangga begitu rendah sebagai cerminan kurang baiknya kemampuan numerasi siswa. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut, model discovery learning dijadikan solusi khususnya pada pemaksimalan materi numerasi pecahan sederhana dengan mengandalkan media konkret yang mudah ditemukan di sekitar kehidupan siswa. Siklus penelitian tindakan kelas diimplementasikan agar diketahui seberapa efektif aktivitas pembelajaran tersebut meningkatkan numerasi siswa. Semakin membaiknya capaian hasil belajar siswa menandakan pembelajaran yang diaplikasikan begitu efektif yang terlihat berdasarkan capaian siklus I (50%) meningkat (87,5%) pada siklus II. Implikasi hasilnya relevan dalam konteks perbaikan pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar seperti dapat menjadi dasar pengambilan keputusan oleh guru untuk mempertimbangkan penggunaan model yang dijadikan objek riset sehingga secara berkelanjutan, lebih aktif dan eksploratif dapat guru hadirkan dalam proses pembelajaran siswa yang dirancang dengan menggunakan media konkret dan sekaligus dampak efektivitasnya dapat menginspirasi guru untuk mengadopsi strategi pembelajaran yang terbukti efektif ini sehingga arah dan dampak pembelajaran lebih berorientasi pada keberhasilan siswa dalam meraih hasil belajar yang distandarkan
