Analisis Literasi Statistik pada Mahasiswa PGSD dalam Mata Kuliah Statistik Pendidikan

Literasi Statistik yang sudah masuk dalam kurikulum nasional menjadi kebutuhan yang urgen untuk dikuasai mahasiswa prodi PGSD dalam upaya menerapkan dan meningkatkan literasi data pada peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini: menganalisis kemampuan literasi statistik calon guru SD pada mata kuliah Statistik Pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Tempat penelitian di Prodi PGSD Universitas Slamet Riyadi. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan mahasiswa semester gasal Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 sebanyak 32 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling untuk menganalisis mahasiswa dengan kategori kemampuan Tinggi, Sedang, dan Rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan soal literasi statistik. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Analisis data model siklus: 1) reduksi data, 2) penyajian data, dan 3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil temuan penelitian penelitian literasi statistik pada mahasiswa PGSD dengan latar belakang Pendidikan mayoritas SMA konsentrasi IPS disimpulkan bahwa a) mahasiswa dengan kategori Tinggi mampu menunjukkan 5 indikator literasi statistic, b) mahasiswa dengan kategori Sedang mampu menunjukkan 4 indikator literasi statistic, dan c) mahasiswa dengan kategori Rendah hanya menunjukkan 1 sampai dengan 2 indikator saja. Sehingga, diperlukan penerapan model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk meningkatkan ketiga kategori kognitif mahasiswa Prodi PGSD pada variable literasi statistic.
